Revial shows as unverified in the meeting
Teams, Google Meet or Zoom labels the joining Revial bot as unverified, not verified or unknown.
You're seeing: When Revial asks to join a Teams, Google Meet or Zoom meeting, the platform labels it "unverified", "not verified" or "unknown", or shows a warning before the host can admit it.
Why this happens
Microsoft, Google and Zoom have all tightened how they handle meeting bots, and each platform now flags bots when they join. This applies to every vendor's bot, not only Revial's. It is a platform-level decision that neither Revial nor any other vendor can change, so there is no setting on our side or yours that removes the label.
This is not related to the "this app isn't verified" screen some organisations used to see when connecting Google Calendar. That issue has been resolved.
What you can do
- Admit Revial anyway. The label does not change what Revial does in the meeting. Once admitted, it records exactly as before.
- Tell participants in advance. A short line in the invite or at the start of the meeting — "our meeting assistant Revial will join, and you may see it flagged as unverified" — avoids the pause when the warning appears. This fits naturally with asking the customer for consent.
- Name and brand the bot. An admin can set the bot's name and avatar so it is clearly yours when it appears — see Organisation settings. The platform's warning is separate from this and still shows.
Is there another way to record online meetings?
Not currently. For Teams, Google Meet and Zoom meetings, the bot joining the call is the only way Revial can record. The microphone feature records face-to-face meetings through your device and is not a substitute for the bot in a video call.
We are following this
We are actively monitoring the situation on all three platforms and will let users know as soon as anything changes. If your organisation's IT team has questions about the bot, send them to support@revial.ai and we will provide the details they need.
